Memphis Police Department Homicide Bureau investigators need assistance to solve the murder of Cardell Bowen, age 19. Bowen’s body was found on March 20, 2009 inside his Whitehaven apartment at 3645 Cazassa Creek #6. Friends and co-workers summoned police after Bowen failed to show up for work as scheduled on consecutive days at FedEx.

Medical examiners have since ruled Cardell Bowen’s death a homicide, resulting from blunt force trauma. Bowen’s vehicle, a gold or tan 1998 Mercury Mystique, was taken from the scene but was recovered several days later in the area of Henley and Donna, just west of Pendleton. Investigators hope to speak with any witnesses that may have seen the vehicle when it was abandoned. Cardell Bowen’s vehicle had MS license plates when it was taken, but had TN license plates when it was recovered.
There have been no arrests in this case.
